Dance is an art form that takes time and dedication to develop. The School of DanceWest Ballet offers professional instruction, high standards, and a program that allows students to gradually progress according to the level of their individual skills and technique. It is important that each student develops pride, discipline and self-confidence while having fun and facing challenges. We recognize that students are impressionable, therefore, we strive to make each class positive and constructive.
Salt Creek Ballet trains dancers. From the tiniest youngster in our "fairy tale ballet" class, through the pre-professional level and beyond to our teen/adult classes, we offer excellent dance instruction to all our students. Believing that a classical ballet foundation is the basis of any of today’s dance styles, Salt Creek Ballet strives to nurture children and adults alike in the beauty, discipline and art of dance.
Salt Creek Ballet performs. Producing at least two fully staged productions each season, Salt Creek Ballet has gained critical acclaim for its quality of dancers and professionalism, offering audiences a unique opportunity to experience the majestic beauty of classical ballet at a level usually associated with top companies.
When we formed Salsabrosa, we knew it was important to bring together the most talented Latin musicians in the Twin Cities. We also made a conscious decision to “bring salsa to the masses” in a very personal way: through the dances themselves.
By making dance instruction part of every Salsabrosa performance, we’re able to share the energy and exhilaration that we feel as musicians by inviting Latin music lovers to the dance floor. In fact, the West African rhythms of our music make it almost impossible to resist moving your body.
And, while salsa, bachata and merengue are a complex musical blend of passion, energy, and vitality, learning to move to these Latin rhythms isn’t complicated at all. After a few minutes with our expert instructors, you’ll have the dance steps - and the confidence - to take you through an exhilarating night of dance.
Salsabrosa loves bringing salsa to you ... and we look forward to seeing your passion on the dance floor.

he Hutchinson Community College Dance Team was formed in the fall of 1961 and the first team was called the “Coettes.” This was around the time of the first college dance team out of Texas; “The Kilgore Rangerettes” was formed.
Alene and John Kline thought it would be entertaining to start a dance team at Hutchinson Community Junior College. So at a basketball halftime, a hat was passed and money was given to start the first team at Hutch.
