Ballet Chicago is an internationally recognized professional track school of ballet that creates exceptional dancers and people. Ballet Chicago believes every aspiring artist deserves the opportunity to explore his or her full potential, and strives to make classical ballet training accessible to all talented students who have the desire to dance. Ballet Chicago is dedicated to rigorous technical training in a culture that fosters personal growth and by teaching impeccable technique as well as fundamental life skills, their students go on to find success in dance and life.
Peoria Ballet is a non-profit company celebrating fifty years of providing the finest in dance performance and dance education to Central Illinois. Well known for its annual production of The Nutcracker, the performance features live orchestral music, professional guest artists dancing the roles of Sugar Plum Fairy and Cavalier, and more than 100 of the Academy’s own dancers. Each season also features a full-length theater production in the spring. The Peoria Ballet also collaborates with other arts and non-profit organizations in an effort to ensure the art of dance continues to be strong and vibrant in the community.
“Dance” is the most physically and mentally demanding subject within the Performing Arts. Our professional staff, through their knowledge and love for dance, hope to inspire in our students not only dance technique and style but the determination, dedication, and self discipline that is needed to acquire the rewards in the dance education. It is our feeling that when our students have left the studio, whether it is to pursue a career in dance or not, that he or she has developed a stronger character through self confidence, awareness of themselves physically and mentally a greater sense of responsibility, and a better appreciation of the arts.
Brookfield Center for the Arts, formerly Brookfield Dance Academy, has been a part of the community for 12 years. We are thrilled to share our love for the arts in the areas of dance, music, theatre and education. We believe that nurturing a child’s creative potential stands at the core of preparing them for life. Creative activities are some of the building blocks of child development. So whether children grow to be choreographers or composers, or engineers and educators, encouraging your children to reach their greatest potential is our main goal. Performing Dance Academy is committed to its students; we focus on the accomplishments and experiences of EACH dancer! We work hard to introduce and instill self-expression, confidence, discipline and passion in each student. Our goal is to allow all dancers to personally experience dance as an art form, build self-esteem, coordination, creativity, grace, musicality, rhythm, technique, learn dance history, build an appreciation for music/dance and above all… have FUN! We also believe in providing proper & elite dance instruction at an affordable rate.
