Welcome to Kay’s Academy of Dance! Established in 1993 as a family oriented dance studio with a goal to provide a fun, friendly and safe learning environment. We limit our class size to maximize the learning experience. We are proud to say we work with all ages and abilities. Our studio is known for our high quality teachers who are gentle and encouraging, yet provide quality training. We offer weekly classes that fit with a typical school schedule. Our classes begin in September and end in May with an annual recital in June. This recital offers the opportunity for students to showcase to their family and friends what they have learned throughout the year. We also offer summer classes that begin in June and end in August.
The Academy celebrates our dancers with a respected curriculum of modern dance, choreography and ballet. Students desiring to become professionals in the field are trained and guided. Adults and youth who study at Kanopy as an avocation improve their health, develop their talent and creativity and mature as future audience members. Students are encouraged and guided to expand their own inventiveness and technical excellence. For students aged 3 to 70+, The Academy offers classes from September to May, and several week-long Dance Camps, Dance Intensive, and Guest Artist Workshops in the summer.
We offer a wide variety of classes and work outs for ages 3 to adult! We have ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, hip hop, lyrical, theatre, yoga, pilates, ballroom dancing, and cardio dance.
FootWorks Dance Studio teaches a Modern Dance curriculum inspired by African American Masters such as Katherine Dunham, Alvin Ailey and Jewell McLaurin. Our students enjoy a fun, family atmosphere and receive personal attention. Our choreography and costuming is always mindful of the youthfulness of our dancers. We are dedicated to provide students fundamental and advanced dance skills that remain true to our art.
DanceCircus celebrates over 40 years of inspiring, challenging,and entertaining performances marked by artistry, clarity, elegance, and simplicity. Artistic Director Betty Salamun weaves together movement, words, and music to create dances of power and meaning for audiences of all ages. Working with award winning poets, musicians, and visual artists she creates interdisciplinary performances. These collaborative performances incorporate non-dancers, students, people in agencies and diverse performers connecting the creative process of DanceCircus with life and work in the community.
Dance Studio 3-D doesn’t create dancers, it reveals them. Stretch by stretch, leap by leap, the dancer emerges. The art form of dance can be the catalyst to setting your inner dancer free.
Studio 3-D’s objective in teaching is not only to impart the correct techniques in the art of dance, but also to have the students experience the enjoyment of learning with a feeling of self-satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment. Although some students may go on to seek a career in dance, Studio 3-D is less interested in molding professional dancers than in shaping disciplined, respectful, gracious and dedicated young people who also develop a love and appreciation for the art.
Studio 3-D is recognized for a positive educational environment, an active role in the community, and a contribution to the exposure to the arts for students and their families. The Studio also sponsors 3-D Family Theatre, to foster the inner performer in all.
At Dance Dimensions, it is our goal to provide students with a fun learning environment where they can exercise, learn dance vocabulary and establish self-esteem, coordination and poise through movement while developing technique. To instill a passion for dance in all students while building self-esteem and confidence in every child. To provide the proper dance technique to all students regardless of the level in which they are at so that all students can reach their greatest potential.
Studio One prides itself on offering the opportunity for all to dance. Our ultimate goal is for students to develop grace, self-confidence, and creative well-being while encompassing a love for dance.
Kris Pickar founded KP School of Dance in Sauk City, WI in 2000. KP School of Dance is dedicated to providing an enthusiastic, nurturing, and professional environment for students of all ages. Students are given caring, personalized attention to support their development as dancers. We provide opportunities for all ages and interests by offering a variety of dance styles. From technical movement to the simple joy of self-expression, our students learn to appreciate all aspects of dance. We emphasize technique, quality, and performance in a welcoming atmosphere to prepare students for college-level dance.
Directed by original Hubbard Street dancer Claire Bataille and led by a faculty of experienced performers, choreographers, and musicians, the Lou Conte Dance Studio (LCDS) at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago offers weekly classes of all levels in ballet, jazz, modern, tap, hip hop, African, African drums, musical theater, yoga, Pilates, and Zumba, as well as workshops and master classes.
