Academy of Dance Arts is a school devoted to the professional training of students in the art of dance.ADA continuously strives to maintain the professional standards set by its founder Roberta Rehberg-Boorse, who opened the Academy in 1983. The Academy employs a diversified group of professional teachers who are fully qualified to provide expert training in a variety of dance styles. ADA offers classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Pointe, Modern, and Irish. Our mission is to provide high-quality dance training in a positive atmosphere for any student who enjoys studying the art of dance.
The Academy hopes that all students, including those who are gifted, as well as those who have challenges, will feel at home here and find stimulation and inspiration. Since movement and music are universal languages, peoples of all races, cultures and nationalities are welcome. Our faculty is justifiably proud of the successes of the talented and persevering few, but also rejoices in the progress made by each student. It is our purpose to make everyone’s time here meaningful and beneficial.

Emphasizing the joy of movement, the school offers nationally recognized programs for pre- school through professional levels. State certified to teach college level classes, the ADC offers one of the most comprehensive opportunities in the area for young men and women to develop their talents. This progressive system of study provides student showcases, professional performances, scholarship opportunities and career counseling.

Founded in 2012, Ballet 5:8 a 501-(c)-3 nonprofit arts organization. With a growing roster of professional dancers and a repertoire of all-new classical and contemporary works, Ballet 5:8 performs in a variety of settings across Chicago and the U.S. in addition to teaching workshops and master classes. Ballet 5:8’s performances combine the athleticism and beauty of professional dance with a commitment to practical communication and understandability. This brings performances out of the abstract, elitism of some art forms and into the hearts and minds of everyday people.

Ballet Chicago is an internationally recognized professional track school of ballet that creates exceptional dancers and people. Ballet Quad Cities is one of our Midwest region’s premiere arts organizations. Launched as a professional dance company in 1996 by Founding Executive Director Joedy Cook, Ballet Quad Cities has garnered critical praise for its stunning performances. Ballet Quad Cities is the longest-running resident professional ballet company in the entire state of Iowa and western Illinois, one of only 100 in the nation. Our award winning performances and interactive school and community programs are accessible for everyone. Each year we touch over 25,000 people with the amazing, athletic and entertaining art of dance.
