Stephanie is an Augsburg College graduate, with a degree in Marketing, and a rewarding career as a Human Resources Administrator. For Stephanie, the most amazing thing about being on a dance team with so many talented dancers is seeing all the different styles and techniques of dance that everyone brings to the studio. Everyone inspires, encourages, and learns so much from each other. This is Stephanie’s first year with Ascending Star Dance, and her second year dancing at the Minnesota Ripknees Basketball games.

Stephanie started dancing when she was 10 years old at various ballet studios around the twin cities, including Continental Studio of Ballet, Minnesota Dance Theater, and City of Lakes Dance Studio. For two years in high school and college, she also joined the cheerleading team.

One of her most unique and memorable dance experiences was the opportunity to participate in a dance show and competition at the University of Queensland, in Brisbane. While studying abroad in Australia for six months. Stephanie continued dancing at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, where she completed her first two years of college. It was at UMD that she branched off of her ballet instruction and tried jazz dance. When Stephanie transferred to Augsburg College for the final years of her education, she joined the Augsburg College dance team. That is where she feels she grew the most as a dancer, and has strived to continued that growth ever since.
