The Joel Hall Dancers express contemporary urban life through dance while educating, entertaining, and inspiring their audience. The signature dance style of JHD incorporates ballet, jazz, modern, funk, and “street dance” using contemporary jazz and house music to create an innovative and continuously evolving dance style that is appealing, relevant, and approachable for those frequently underserved by the arts.

Joel Hall Dancers & Center offers one of the most extensive dance & movement curricula in the Midwest. We’re open 7 days a week with over 150 adult & children’s classes — serving students of all ages, interests and experience levels.

The Joffrey Academy of Dance, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet, is committed to providing students of all ages, levels and backgrounds who have a desire to dance with a world-class education built on a foundation of classical ballet. With the talents cultivated at the Joffrey Academy, students can pursue careers as professional dancers at companies throughout the world, higher education opportunities in dance, or success in other fields. Through the Joffrey Academy’s programs, students develop a diverse set of skills including artistry, creativity, discipline and confidence, among others. Kalaanjali, LLC is a School of Indian Dance in Madison, Wisconsin, and is directed by its founder Meenakshi Ganesan. The name of the school, Kalaanjali, has its roots in two Sanskrit words. "Kala" means "art" and "Anjali" means "to offer". "Kalaanjali", the name of the school, represents the offering of the arts of dance and music.
Kalaanjali's Bharatanatyam students get a rigorous training in the Natyashastras, one of the greatest creations in the field of dance, drama, and theater. While the scope of Natyashastras is well beyond dance, the Natyashastras offer a systematic education in the basic dance steps, hand gestures, foot movements, eye movements, neck movements, rhythms, facial expressions, and the other rules and principles that make up the the foundation of the dancing art.
The Academy celebrates our dancers with a respected curriculum of modern dance, choreography and ballet. Students desiring to become professionals in the field are trained and guided. Adults and youth who study at Kanopy as an avocation improve their health, develop their talent and creativity and mature as future audience members. Students are encouraged and guided to expand their own inventiveness and technical excellence. For students aged 3 to 70+, The Academy offers classes from September to May, and several week-long Dance Camps, Dance Intensive, and Guest Artist Workshops in the summer.
Kanopy Dance Theatre, Inc. was organized to: "promote, encourage, and increase the public's knowledge of and appreciation for the arts, including the art of dance; to coordinate and provide services to the arts to foster their growth and practice; and, to engage in activities relating to the aforementioned purposes." (Articles of Incorporation, 1976)
Welcome to Kay’s Academy of Dance! Established in 1993 as a family oriented dance studio with a goal to provide a fun, friendly and safe learning environment. We limit our class size to maximize the learning experience. We are proud to say we work with all ages and abilities. Our studio is known for our high quality teachers who are gentle and encouraging, yet provide quality training. We offer weekly classes that fit with a typical school schedule. Our classes begin in September and end in May with an annual recital in June. This recital offers the opportunity for students to showcase to their family and friends what they have learned throughout the year. We also offer summer classes that begin in June and end in August.
