Dancemaking is the heart of Columbia’s internationally recognized Dance Center, where you’ll learn choreography, technique and improvisation across a wide range of styles. Ballet Quad Cities is one of our Midwest region’s premiere arts organizations. Launched as a professional dance company in 1996 by Founding Executive Director Joedy Cook, Ballet Quad Cities has garnered critical praise for its stunning performances. Ballet Quad Cities is the longest-running resident professional ballet company in the entire state of Iowa and western Illinois, one of only 100 in the nation. Our award winning performances and interactive school and community programs are accessible for everyone. Each year we touch over 25,000 people with the amazing, athletic and entertaining art of dance.

Chicago Ballet Arts' mission is to provide a structured, affordable ballet program with high professional standards for Chicago's diverse north and northwest communities. In the process, we strive to instill in our students a love of dance, a respect for the classical disciplines necessary in a performing art, and an expanded capacity for excellence.
Through our family concerts and open studio policy, we hope to encourage parental and community involvement in the efforts of our students, so that their success can be viewed as part of the permanent fabric of family and community life, and can stand as an open example of the relationship between rigor and achievement.
MDC has served Chicago’s communities for over 20 years under the leadership of Founder and Artistic Director Homer Hans Bryant. He founded the Bryant Ballet School and Company in 1990 to create a neoclassical ballet technique which integrates a diversity of dance styles and honors the richness of our varied multicultural heritage. The name of the school was officially changed to Chicago Multi-Cultural Dance Center in 1997. In 2008 he merged ballet and street dance to create Hiplet™, a new technique featuring hip hop dance in pointe shoes.
In our Academy Program, our students advance through a graded curriculum learning core principles and technique. Our teachers are dedicated to providing every student complete preparation for a professional career. We believe that the discipline, focus, strength, and determination gained from our training will also benefit students in any field they choose.
Our Open Program classes are for those students who would like to take advantage of our high level of training without the commitment of a more rigorous schedule of study. These classes allow students to experience all the benefits of dance training. Open classes do not participate in the annual recital with the exception of Hip Hop. Open program classes include Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Leaps and Turns.
Studio Dance Arts offers excellence in dance education throughout northern Ontario and northern Michigan. A wide variety of quality dance programs are available from the beginner through advanced levels. Boys and girls can start as early as 2yrs! Preschool, Kinder, Recreational, Adult and award winning Competitive dance streams of study offer top notch classes in creative movement, combo, ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, tap & hiphop.
With a diverse and highly qualified faculty of teachers, choreographers and guest artists, the school’s emphasis is on strong dance technique and performance skills. SDA also teaches valuable and important life skills, such as: discipline, dedication, perseverance, respect and team work. Dance training is life training.
