The Berkshire Ballet Theatre is Summers Academy of Dance's pre-professional training program for motivated dancers 12-20 years old.
Students learn through technique classes and performances in a creative and disciplined environment. Intermediate 1 and 2 students begin the classical syllabus which requires students to work carefully with much repetition in order to isolate the correct muscle groups required for turn-out, extension, and a strong jump. When a student is ready pointe training begins. Character dance, modern dance and floor barre are also introduced into training. Berkshire Ballet Theatre trainees, apprentices, and company dancers continue advanced classical ballet training including classical variations, pas de deux, repetoire.
The doors of the Summers Academy of Dance opened in 1996 on Berkshire Drive in Crystal Lake. Since that first day dancers from 18 months old to adults; beginners to professionals have come through our doors to train with our outstanding faculty and experience the joy of dancing.
Our Mission: To assist students in developing scholastic aptitude and excel in life by providing excellent education through various forms of dance and performing arts.

Move Out Loud was created out of the belief that dance can and should be all of these things. It's our passion to show our students how. At Move Out Loud, we strive to unite mind, body and heart learning in all that we do, providing creative, positive, top notch instruction while helping our students build confidence, self-esteem and a love for the art of movement.

Storybook Ballet, founded in 2000, is a unique and enchanting children’s ballet school that combines beginning classical ballet instruction with the delight of fairytales and famous ballet stories. Founder and Director, Meredith Mast, is a former professional ballerina with the Houston Ballet. Her dream was to create a school that would foster a love of ballet and teach the proper fundamentals of classical ballet technique … all with a touch of magic!
We are a niche ballet school that focuses solely on children and classical ballet, with teachers that specialize in teaching young children and who have in-depth training in classical ballet. The school’s curriculum is based on almost twenty years of teaching children, and over forty years studying the art form. Classes are offered specifically for ages 3-9, with five levels of ballet classes within those ages.
Storybook Ballet is a non-competitive, non-recital focused school that introduces children to the beauty of ballet and plants the seed for a lifelong love and appreciation of the art form.
The School of Madison Ballet opened its doors in the fall of 2005 and has since welcomed over 1000 dancers into its studios to experience the benefits of comprehensive, classical ballet training. Under the leadership of Artistic Director, W. Earle Smith, SMB focuses on providing students with a unique experience in a professional atmosphere that allows each student to develop to his or her highest possible level of individual achievement. Euphoria Movement Arts is your source for belly dance instruction on Madison’s east side. We foster an inviting, nurturing and creative environment for dancers of all ages, shapes, sizes, and ability levels where everyone can grow, learn, inspire and be inspired.
Established in 1966 and funded by the State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, the South Dakota Arts Council (SDAC) is a state agency serving South Dakotans and their communities through the arts. Recognizing the importance of creativity in the lives of all South Dakotans, the Council makes quality arts accessible throughout the state by providing grants, services and information to artists, arts organizations, schools and the public. The Council is the advisory board to the SDAC staff within the Department of Tourism. Council members are appointed by the Governor.
Gus Giordano Founded Gus Giordano Dance in 1953. Gus' Jazz Dance legacy continues in his Chicago School at 5230 N Clark St. Train in all styles - Giordano Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Modern, Hip Hop, Contemporary. Gus Giordano Professional & Youth GUS Dancers perform throughout Chicagoland. Gus' legacy continues under the direction of his daughter, Amy Giordano.
The Company’s purpose is to bring a high artistic level of dance to the community. The company accepts an elite few from The School of Dance West Ballet at auditions held in August each year for the upcoming season. Junior Apprentices are considered to be in training and therefore may or may not receive performing roles.
Members of DanceWest Ballet Company perform in The Nutcracker and a spring repertoire performance. Dancers also participate in the school concert presented every June, as well as attending the Regional Dance Association Festival held at one of the Mid States companies, usually in May. Company members participate in performances that are scheduled as opportunities for performances arise.
