We offer classes in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop for children ages 3-18 as well as adult yoga and pilates. We pride ourselves in producing well-trained, technical dancers.
The mission of our studio is to offer movement opportunities for all ages in a positive environment, as well as instilling a passion for the art of dance and movement. Above all, we (as a faculty) are fully aware of our dramatic impact on the development of each dancer’s self-esteem and personal growth, and responsibility to present ourselves as positive and effective role models for our school.
Located in Chicago’s historic southwest side neighborhood of Beverly, Dance Gallery features a state-of-the-art facility complete with two dance studios with full view mirrors and parental viewing window and offers a variety of dance classes ranging from ballet to ballroom dance. More than 12 professional instructors devoted to teaching new skills, as well as fostering an appreciation of the art of movement and dance, Dance Gallery provides advanced expertise and instruction for everyone from 2-year olds to adults.
When Marylee Sinopoli first began to make plans for her studio, her unique vision for Dance Gallery was to create a space specially designed for professional dance instruction. Sinopoli fills the studio space with artistic inspiration helping students awaken their creative spirit and develop their own talents and confidence both in and out of the studio.
Indiana Ballet Theatre, known as IBT, is a 501c3 non-for-profit organization. IBT has remained intently focused on a very simple mission for the past 36 years. IBT is dedicated to transforming lives and enriching the community through the world of dance. We do this through performance, outreach and the finest classical dance education. We accomplish our goals through multi-faceted programs with our many community partners such as the Girl Scouts, Boys and Girls Clubs, etc. IBT continues to utilize valuable resources of the region by performing full-length traditional ballets and original dance productions using local talent. Our goal is to keep the art of quality dance by preserving historical ballet stories while offering and entertaining, educational and affordable experience for area residents. We strongly believe that the arts are essential to a healthy society.

Rebecca McCarthy School of Dance (RMSD) is a nationally renowned performing arts school featured on WGN and ABC. We are home to the award-winning McDance Company and provide recreational and professional dance training to children beginning at 20 months through adult. The Rebecca McCarthy School of Dance was established in 2003. We strive to create a learning environment that provides both recreational and professional training. Our goal is to train our dancers in a structured and fun atmosphere. Dancers that study under RMSD are provided with the background they will need to succeed in the performing arts. RMSD students gain the confidence needed to succeed in dance, musical theater, poms, cheerleading and other stage productions. The IU Contemporary Dance Program offers a collection of dance experiences that are accessible to students who seek serious study in the art of dance. The program's core offerings consist of curricula which, through the highest quality of training and instruction, strengthen and refine contemporary dance technique as well as provide scholarly inquiry into the history, science and aesthetics of dance. The faculty of the IU Contemporary Dance Program strives to not only teach, but mentor, and provide a strong theoretical base from which each dancer can grow and work as an individual artist. Students are encouraged to seek their own venue for expression, such as performance, choreography, teaching, production or scholarship, and prepare for a successful career in the professional and academic field of dance.
Specializing in pre-professional training for the serious student, or an engaging experience for those not pursuing rigorous training. Our small classes, personal attention, and high standards allow our students to grow in confidence, but with wisdom and realistic awareness. Our performance opportunities give wings to artistry, the necessity of team responsibility, and a tremendous pleasure of accomplishment.
