A Leap Above Dance studio teaches ages 3 to adult the art of dance in a fun and friendly atmosphere! We offer classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, creative movement, and pointe, in one of our three spacious studios.
A Step Above Dance & Music Academy provides its students with self-confidence and feelings of accomplishment through excellent training in all areas of dance and music. Director Tamra Bisbee McKittrick teaches with a faculty of highly-trained and caring teachers who are looking forward to helping you and your child develop a lifelong respect and appreciation for the performing arts. North Shore School of Dance (NSSD) is a professional school with 5 studios in one location. We offer graded classes in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern and hip-hop. We also offer open classes in Adult Ballet and Modern, Bollywood, and Boys Hip Hop. NSSD boasts a highly qualified professional faculty, along with guest artists from major well-respected dance companies. These faculty members make it possible for the school to offer an extensive program from pre-school to professional.

Classes are offered year round for ages 3 to senior citizens. A variety of dance forms are offered for all levels of experience as well as dance related exercise classes. Our state of the art facility houses 5 studios with two way windows for parent observations. Our studios are located at the Rockford Park District’s Riverfront Museum Park on the 2nd floor.

Ballet 5:8 School of the Arts is the dance education arm of Ballet 5:8, a 501-(c)-3 nonprofit organization and professional performance company dedicated to creating and performing honest, relevant, breathtaking dance.
The school’s mission to make high quality dance training accessible to students of all ages, backgrounds and levels of ability, in an environment that nurtures students and allows them to thrive. Whether students take classes for a few years or many, study for fun, or train to pursue professional careers, it is our goal to be a positive influence in students’ lives that can help prepare them for whatever lies ahead.

The mission of Classical Ballet Academy of Minnesota is to create a professional school dedicated to the pursuit of artistry in dance through the quality education of the Performing Arts Dancer. The Performing Arts program stresses technical as well as performance development through graded classroom progression and performances. Classical Ballet Academy is the official school of Ballet Minnesota. Students perform in Ballet Minnesota productions including The Fall Concert, The Classic Nutcracker, The Minnesota Dance Festival and Summer Series River Songs.
