Dance Wisconsin provides the vehicle for young dancers to go beyond their studio dance experience and learn more about their art form while making valuable connects in the dance world at a professional and collegiant level. Dance Wisconsin offers dedicated dancers the opportunity to train at a high level to achieve their goals whether they are simply to be the best dancer they can be or if they wish to pursue dancing beyond High School. Donna Jeanne’ Professional School of Dance is one of the best Milwaukee Dance Studios and it features training for pre-school, grade school, teenage, and adult students. Her classes provide exercise, performance, teaching and choreography in the contemporary style of Modern Jazz (Street/Hip Hop/Contemporary Fusion), Swing, Mid-Eastern, Ballet, Tap, Acrobatic, Ballroom (consisting of Rumba, Salsa, Mambo, Tango, Waltz, Polka, Foxtrot, and Swing), Wedding Couples, Bollywood, Belly Dancing, Country and Line. Footworks offers something for everyone, from your first pre school class, to your graduation performance and beyond. With our award winning staff and new 9000+ square foot facility, Footworks is excited to offer 2 great programs to choose from (FDC Enrichment Dance and FDC Competitive Dance) in the Appleton, Heart of the Valley and Northeast Wisconsin area. Coming from a long family tradition of dance, we have been providing exceptional and comprehensive dance training to dancers of all ages and skill levels for over 13 years. We have grown tremendously over these years to become an extremely respected dance program in Wisconsin with a National Award Winning studio. Footworks offers something for everyone, with classes in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Acrobatics, Pointe, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Modern Dance. Our goal is to go above and beyond your dance class expectations, while building self esteem, confidence and character. We offer a wide variety of classes and work outs for ages 3 to adult! We have ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, hip hop, lyrical, theatre, yoga, pilates, ballroom dancing, and cardio dance.
Gus Giordano Founded Gus Giordano Dance in 1953. Gus’ Jazz Dance legacy continues in his Chicago School at 5230 N Clark St. Train in all styles – Giordano Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Modern, Hip Hop, Contemporary. Gus Giordano Professional & Youth GUS Dancers perform throughout Chicagoland. Gus’ legacy continues under the direction of his daughter, Amy Giordano.
Harvest Chicago Contemporary Dance Festival was founded in 2010 as a way to share and celebrate the work of practicing contemporary dance artists and companies. Producers Melissa Mallinson and Nicole Gifford have more than thirty years of combined experience in producing dance events, choreographing, and performing their works in Chicago and throughout the Midwest.
Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, under the artistic leadership of Glenn Edgerton, celebrates its 39th season in 2016 and 2017. Among the world’s top contemporary dance companies and a global cultural ambassador, Hubbard Street demonstrates fluency in a wide range of techniques and forms, and deep comprehension of abstract artistry and emotional nuance. The company is critically acclaimed for its exuberant and innovative repertoire, featuring works by master American and international choreographers. Hubbard Street’s artists hail from four countries and 12 U.S. states, and comprise a superlative ensemble of virtuosity and versatility. Since its founding by Lou Conte in 1977, Hubbard Street has grown through the establishment of multiple platforms. Each is dedicated to the support and advancement of dance as an art form, as a practice, and as a method for generating and sustaining communities of all kinds.
Indiana Ballet Theatre, known as IBT, is a 501c3 non-for-profit organization. IBT has remained intently focused on a very simple mission for the past 36 years. IBT is dedicated to transforming lives and enriching the community through the world of dance. We do this through performance, outreach and the finest classical dance education. We accomplish our goals through multi-faceted programs with our many community partners such as the Girl Scouts, Boys and Girls Clubs, etc. IBT continues to utilize valuable resources of the region by performing full-length traditional ballets and original dance productions using local talent. Our goal is to keep the art of quality dance by preserving historical ballet stories while offering and entertaining, educational and affordable experience for area residents. We strongly believe that the arts are essential to a healthy society.
