Midwest Performing Arts provides a professional and encouraging environment in which our students can learn the art of dance while also learning skills needed for a successful life. We believe that introducing and enriching lives in dance is a wonderful gift that will last forever.
Our progressive program offers training in dance technique grounded in Ballet, Modern and Jazz Dance, while also including Tap and Hip Hop styles of dance. It is important as a dancer to have a well rounded education in many different forms of dance. Our schedule and curriculum allow each and every student to learn in many genres.
A Leap Above Dance studio teaches ages 3 to adult the art of dance in a fun and friendly atmosphere! We offer classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, creative movement, and pointe, in one of our three spacious studios.
A Step Above Dance & Music Academy provides its students with self-confidence and feelings of accomplishment through excellent training in all areas of dance and music. Director Tamra Bisbee McKittrick teaches with a faculty of highly-trained and caring teachers who are looking forward to helping you and your child develop a lifelong respect and appreciation for the performing arts. Rebecca McCarthy School of Dance (RMSD) is a nationally renowned performing arts school featured on WGN and ABC. We are home to the award-winning McDance Company and provide recreational and professional dance training to children beginning at 20 months through adult. The Rebecca McCarthy School of Dance was established in 2003. We strive to create a learning environment that provides both recreational and professional training. Our goal is to train our dancers in a structured and fun atmosphere. Dancers that study under RMSD are provided with the background they will need to succeed in the performing arts. RMSD students gain the confidence needed to succeed in dance, musical theater, poms, cheerleading and other stage productions. Indiana Ballet Theatre, known as IBT, is a 501c3 non-for-profit organization. IBT has remained intently focused on a very simple mission for the past 36 years. IBT is dedicated to transforming lives and enriching the community through the world of dance. We do this through performance, outreach and the finest classical dance education. We accomplish our goals through multi-faceted programs with our many community partners such as the Girl Scouts, Boys and Girls Clubs, etc. IBT continues to utilize valuable resources of the region by performing full-length traditional ballets and original dance productions using local talent. Our goal is to keep the art of quality dance by preserving historical ballet stories while offering and entertaining, educational and affordable experience for area residents. We strongly believe that the arts are essential to a healthy society.

Located in Chicago’s historic southwest side neighborhood of Beverly, Dance Gallery features a state-of-the-art facility complete with two dance studios with full view mirrors and parental viewing window and offers a variety of dance classes ranging from ballet to ballroom dance. More than 12 professional instructors devoted to teaching new skills, as well as fostering an appreciation of the art of movement and dance, Dance Gallery provides advanced expertise and instruction for everyone from 2-year olds to adults.
When Marylee Sinopoli first began to make plans for her studio, her unique vision for Dance Gallery was to create a space specially designed for professional dance instruction. Sinopoli fills the studio space with artistic inspiration helping students awaken their creative spirit and develop their own talents and confidence both in and out of the studio.
The mission of our studio is to offer movement opportunities for all ages in a positive environment, as well as instilling a passion for the art of dance and movement. Above all, we (as a faculty) are fully aware of our dramatic impact on the development of each dancer’s self-esteem and personal growth, and responsibility to present ourselves as positive and effective role models for our school.
We offer classes in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop for children ages 3-18 as well as adult yoga and pilates. We pride ourselves in producing well-trained, technical dancers.
