Midwest Performing Arts provides a professional and encouraging environment in which our students can learn the art of dance while also learning skills needed for a successful life. We believe that introducing and enriching lives in dance is a wonderful gift that will last forever.
Our progressive program offers training in dance technique grounded in Ballet, Modern and Jazz Dance, while also including Tap and Hip Hop styles of dance. It is important as a dancer to have a well rounded education in many different forms of dance. Our schedule and curriculum allow each and every student to learn in many genres.
A Leap Above Dance studio teaches ages 3 to adult the art of dance in a fun and friendly atmosphere! We offer classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, creative movement, and pointe, in one of our three spacious studios.
A Step Above Dance & Music Academy provides its students with self-confidence and feelings of accomplishment through excellent training in all areas of dance and music. Director Tamra Bisbee McKittrick teaches with a faculty of highly-trained and caring teachers who are looking forward to helping you and your child develop a lifelong respect and appreciation for the performing arts. It is the mission of Madison Contemporary Vision Dance Company to present original and diverse contemporary-based choreography in order to inspire audiences of all ages and backgrounds to appreciate a deeper connection to dance as a visual art-form, while also providing a platform for dancers and other artists to come together for resources, education, events, support, and community.

Our recreational and competitive dance programs offer each student the level of training they desire and aspire to achieve. Encouragement, Motivation and Creativity are the basis for our dance classes. We offer a complete recreational program with all students performing in our fabulous year-end “Spring Celebration of Dance” held every year at the finest theatres in the Green Bay and Fox Valley area. We welcome students of all abilities from ages two and up.
Footworks offers something for everyone, from your first pre school class, to your graduation performance and beyond. With our award winning staff and new 9000+ square foot facility, Footworks is excited to offer 2 great programs to choose from (FDC Enrichment Dance and FDC Competitive Dance) in the Appleton, Heart of the Valley and Northeast Wisconsin area. Coming from a long family tradition of dance, we have been providing exceptional and comprehensive dance training to dancers of all ages and skill levels for over 13 years. We have grown tremendously over these years to become an extremely respected dance program in Wisconsin with a National Award Winning studio. Footworks offers something for everyone, with classes in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Acrobatics, Pointe, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Modern Dance. Our goal is to go above and beyond your dance class expectations, while building self esteem, confidence and character. In our Academy Program, our students advance through a graded curriculum learning core principles and technique. Our teachers are dedicated to providing every student complete preparation for a professional career. We believe that the discipline, focus, strength, and determination gained from our training will also benefit students in any field they choose.
Our Open Program classes are for those students who would like to take advantage of our high level of training without the commitment of a more rigorous schedule of study. These classes allow students to experience all the benefits of dance training. Open classes do not participate in the annual recital with the exception of Hip Hop. Open program classes include Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Leaps and Turns.
The doors of the Summers Academy of Dance opened in 1996 on Berkshire Drive in Crystal Lake. Since that first day dancers from 18 months old to adults; beginners to professionals have come through our doors to train with our outstanding faculty and experience the joy of dancing.
Our Mission: To assist students in developing scholastic aptitude and excel in life by providing excellent education through various forms of dance and performing arts.
At the Summers Academy of Dance you can find classes for the child, teen, or adult recreational dancer who enjoys dancing once or twice a week for the creative, fun, and physical outlet.
