Midwest Performing Arts provides a professional and encouraging environment in which our students can learn the art of dance while also learning skills needed for a successful life. We believe that introducing and enriching lives in dance is a wonderful gift that will last forever.
Our progressive program offers training in dance technique grounded in Ballet, Modern and Jazz Dance, while also including Tap and Hip Hop styles of dance. It is important as a dancer to have a well rounded education in many different forms of dance. Our schedule and curriculum allow each and every student to learn in many genres.
A Leap Above Dance studio teaches ages 3 to adult the art of dance in a fun and friendly atmosphere! We offer classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, creative movement, and pointe, in one of our three spacious studios.
A Step Above Dance & Music Academy provides its students with self-confidence and feelings of accomplishment through excellent training in all areas of dance and music. Director Tamra Bisbee McKittrick teaches with a faculty of highly-trained and caring teachers who are looking forward to helping you and your child develop a lifelong respect and appreciation for the performing arts. It is the mission of Madison Contemporary Vision Dance Company to present original and diverse contemporary-based choreography in order to inspire audiences of all ages and backgrounds to appreciate a deeper connection to dance as a visual art-form, while also providing a platform for dancers and other artists to come together for resources, education, events, support, and community.
Indiana Ballet Theatre, known as IBT, is a 501c3 non-for-profit organization. IBT has remained intently focused on a very simple mission for the past 36 years. IBT is dedicated to transforming lives and enriching the community through the world of dance. We do this through performance, outreach and the finest classical dance education. We accomplish our goals through multi-faceted programs with our many community partners such as the Girl Scouts, Boys and Girls Clubs, etc. IBT continues to utilize valuable resources of the region by performing full-length traditional ballets and original dance productions using local talent. Our goal is to keep the art of quality dance by preserving historical ballet stories while offering and entertaining, educational and affordable experience for area residents. We strongly believe that the arts are essential to a healthy society.

We offer classes in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop for children ages 3-18 as well as adult yoga and pilates. We pride ourselves in producing well-trained, technical dancers.
The doors of the Summers Academy of Dance opened in 1996 on Berkshire Drive in Crystal Lake. Since that first day dancers from 18 months old to adults; beginners to professionals have come through our doors to train with our outstanding faculty and experience the joy of dancing.

At the Summers Academy of Dance you can find classes for the child, teen, or adult recreational dancer who enjoys dancing once or twice a week for the creative, fun, and physical outlet. Salt Creek Ballet trains dancers. From the tiniest youngster in our “fairy tale ballet” class, through the pre-professional level and beyond to our teen/adult classes, we offer excellent dance instruction to all our students. Believing that a classical ballet foundation is the basis of any of today’s dance styles, Salt Creek Ballet strives to nurture children and adults alike in the beauty, discipline and art of dance.
Salt Creek Ballet performs.
