Teaching dancers the fundamentals and technique of dance in a fun, caring environment. We offer a wide variety of classes to meet all dancers interests for students ages 3 – adult at a modern dance studio. For the more serious dancer, we offer a highly accomplished competition program. At Spotlight Dance Academy, we teach more than dance but lessons for life. Your dancer will build character, confidence and poise while taking dance classes combined with excellent dance technique. Our highly experienced and passionate dance instructors provide educational and exciting classes.

Founded in 2013 by Artistic Director Nick Pupillo, Visceral Dance Chicago is a contemporary dance company dedicated to a bold and progressive world of movement. In less than three years, the company has developed a diverse and respected repertoire. With works by distinguished choreographers Sidra Bell, Mónica Cervantes, Marguerite Donlon, Brian Enos, Robyn Mineko Williams, Banning Bouldin, Harrison McEldowney, Fernando Melo, Ohad Naharin, and Pupillo, Visceral Dance Chicago continues to challenge audiences’ expectations. Bridging the gap between classroom studies and the professional stage, the American Dance Center brings recognition and performing outlets to the suburban area. Emphasizing the joy of movement, the school offers nationally recognized programs for pre- school through professional levels. State certified to teach college level classes, the ADC offers one of the most comprehensive opportunities in the area for young men and women to develop their talents. This progressive system of study provides student showcases, professional performances, scholarship opportunities and career counseling.

CDR is unique compared to other dance schools and programs in the composition of the “company”. CDR is composed of an elite group of local, talented, and dedicated students 10-18 years old. Company members become versatile dancers, taking classes and rehearsing in various styles of dance. Members take class and rehearse as a unit. There is a limited amount of dancers accepted to create more individual attention from the director/teachers and to create more opportunities for each dancer to grow technically and artistically. The dancers show their love and passion for dance through their work ethic in the studio and on stage. Members are recognized at competition and conventions, winning many scholarships and stand-out dancer awards.
Li Chiao-Ping Dance creates and presents concerts of contemporary postmodern dance, featuring highly physical, elegant and inventive works. LCPD was founded in 1990 and had its first concert in Madison in 1995. It is a resident company of the Overture Center for the Arts and works hard to spread the benefits of dance.
Reflecting and supporting the artistic vision of choreographer Li Chiao-Ping, Li Chiao-Ping Dance produces and presents original performance works, provides mentorship, education and training, offers opportunities for residencies and collaborations, and promotes tolerance and respect.
MDC has served Chicago’s communities for over 20 years under the leadership of Founder and Artistic Director Homer Hans Bryant. He founded the Bryant Ballet School and Company in 1990 to create a neoclassical ballet technique which integrates a diversity of dance styles and honors the richness of our varied multicultural heritage. The name of the school was officially changed to Chicago Multi-Cultural Dance Center in 1997. In 2008 he merged ballet and street dance to create Hiplet™, a new technique featuring hip hop dance in pointe shoes.
