A Leap Above Dance studio teaches ages 3 to adult the art of dance in a fun and friendly atmosphere! We offer classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, creative movement, and pointe, in one of our three spacious studios.
A Step Above Dance & Music Academy provides its students with self-confidence and feelings of accomplishment through excellent training in all areas of dance and music. Director Tamra Bisbee McKittrick teaches with a faculty of highly-trained and caring teachers who are looking forward to helping you and your child develop a lifelong respect and appreciation for the performing arts. Rebecca McCarthy School of Dance (RMSD) is a nationally renowned performing arts school featured on WGN and ABC. We are home to the award-winning McDance Company and provide recreational and professional dance training to children beginning at 20 months through adult. The Rebecca McCarthy School of Dance was established in 2003. We strive to create a learning environment that provides both recreational and professional training. Our goal is to train our dancers in a structured and fun atmosphere. Dancers that study under RMSD are provided with the background they will need to succeed in the performing arts. RMSD students gain the confidence needed to succeed in dance, musical theater, poms, cheerleading and other stage productions. We welcome you to become a part of our dance family, RMSD, a place that we are proud to call home!
The mission of our studio is to offer movement opportunities for all ages in a positive environment, as well as instilling a passion for the art of dance and movement. Above all, we (as a faculty) are fully aware of our dramatic impact on the development of each dancer’s self-esteem and personal growth, and responsibility to present ourselves as positive and effective role models for our school.
The doors of the Summers Academy of Dance opened in 1996 on Berkshire Drive in Crystal Lake. Since that first day dancers from 18 months old to adults; beginners to professionals have come through our doors to train with our outstanding faculty and experience the joy of dancing.
Our Mission: To assist students in developing scholastic aptitude and excel in life by providing excellent education through various forms of dance and performing arts.
At the Summers Academy of Dance you can find classes for the child, teen, or adult recreational dancer who enjoys dancing once or twice a week for the creative, fun, and physical outlet. Ballet 5:8 School of the Arts is the dance education arm of Ballet 5:8, a 501-(c)-3 nonprofit organization and professional performance company dedicated to creating and performing honest, relevant, breathtaking dance.
The school’s mission to make high quality dance training accessible to students of all ages, backgrounds and levels of ability, in an environment that nurtures students and allows them to thrive. Whether students take classes for a few years or many, study for fun, or train to pursue professional careers, it is our goal to be a positive influence in students’ lives that can help prepare them for whatever lies ahead.
At Midwest School of Ballet, our top priority is to teach dance to all our students in a fun, safe, and positive environment. “Dance” is the most physically and mentally demanding subject within the Performing Arts. Our professional staff, through their knowledge and love for dance, hope to inspire in our students not only dance technique and style but the determination, dedication, and self discipline that is needed to acquire the rewards in the dance education. It is our feeling that when our students have left the studio, whether it is to pursue a career in dance or not, that he or she has developed a stronger character through self confidence, awareness of themselves physically and mentally a greater sense of responsibility, and a better appreciation of the arts.
The Dance Factory & Music Studios is committed to teaching the arts of dance and music through superior industry knowledge of it instructors. That, combined with a genuine love of what we do, encourages the growth of creativity and builds self-esteem on an individual basis.
