Gus Giordano Founded Gus Giordano Dance in 1953. Gus’ Jazz Dance legacy continues in his Chicago School at 5230 N Clark St. Train in all styles – Giordano Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Modern, Hip Hop, Contemporary. Gus Giordano Professional & Youth GUS Dancers perform throughout Chicagoland. Gus’ legacy continues under the direction of his daughter, Amy Giordano.
Midwest Academy of Dance provides professional dance instruction at prices affordable to middle and lower income participants. For 20 years we have offered classes in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, hip hop, and modern for all ages & all sizes – beginners to advanced level dancers.
The doors of the Summers Academy of Dance opened in 1996 on Berkshire Drive in Crystal Lake. Since that first day dancers from 18 months old to adults; beginners to professionals have come through our doors to train with our outstanding faculty and experience the joy of dancing.
Our Mission: To assist students in developing scholastic aptitude and excel in life by providing excellent education through various forms of dance and performing arts.
At the Summers Academy of Dance you can find classes for the child, teen, or adult recreational dancer who enjoys dancing once or twice a week for the creative, fun, and physical outlet. Indiana Ballet Theatre, known as IBT, is a 501c3 non-for-profit organization. IBT has remained intently focused on a very simple mission for the past 36 years. IBT is dedicated to transforming lives and enriching the community through the world of dance. We do this through performance, outreach and the finest classical dance education. We accomplish our goals through multi-faceted programs with our many community partners such as the Girl Scouts, Boys and Girls Clubs, etc. IBT continues to utilize valuable resources of the region by performing full-length traditional ballets and original dance productions using local talent. Our goal is to keep the art of quality dance by preserving historical ballet stories while offering and entertaining, educational and affordable experience for area residents. We strongly believe that the arts are essential to a healthy society.
